Engine Story: This locomotive I got when my father and I found a bunch of HO train stuff in the garage. I was excited to get this loco as this is the one I remember from my childhood. After getting all the stuff from my dad I was in a pickle, all his stuff was DC and I was trying to go DCC, when I went to check out a couple local Train Stores I ended up finding a sweet little DCC decoder for $21 at Online Trains. This decoder was a simple one motor control with forward and rear lights. It had a pigtail on it. After looking at the wires on the loco I quickly figured out how to wire the decoder. Since this was the first one I ever converted over to DCC I just twisted the wire and put electoral tape on the wires. This did the trick and got me my first DCC converted loco.

#1024, this loco didn’t have any road numbers on it when I got it. I picked 1024 out of respect for my IT career. You have 1024 megabytes in a gigabyte. I did a lot of calculations when working within a Server Lab at Microsoft.
