Honestly not sure yet how I feel about this place yet. The inside of this shop is cluttered and dark, when I visited I couldn’t get down many of the isles because there were boxes blocking most of them. Maybe this was new stock that just needed to be put away? But visiting on a Saturday I would expect stock to be put away. The lighting also made it hard to look at the product that were on the shelves.
The guy at the counter (I assume the owner) was very friendly gave me some advice on what to look at for track and answered a few other questions. The service was great, since I was looking for an HO started set when I asked him if he had any is said he didn’t and pointed where I would find them if he did have them. So hands down the service was awesome!
I did end up getting a DCC decoder that I used to convert my first DC locomotive over to DCC and his price was the same that I found on amazon.com so that was cool.
Online Trains did have a booth at the train show in Puyallup WA that I went to, he had a good size booth and a lot of product. So maybe all the boxes in the isles when I visited his store was for the show? In any case I will be revisiting this place and giving them another go because the prices are good and the service is great just wish he had a bigger location with better lighting, but in the Train business I’m sure the extra cost for a bigger location wouldn’t pay off.
